Summer is a time to free-up those creative juices — to draw a still-life, make a bracelet, sculpt a vase. Walden’s Arts and Crafts program has all the materials you’ll need and the talented staff to get you started.

The craftshop is one of those places in camp that constantly buzzes with activity (and good music). Here, campers take classes in painting, drawing, copper enameling, tie dyeing, batiking, and jewelry making. In the ceramics room, clay masterpieces line the shelves, waiting to be glazed and fired. These creative sculptures are displayed in the Art Show at the end of each session.

Of course, the A&C is always open during
Twilight and Optional periods. You never
know when you might have a sudden urge
to start a lanyard or throw a pot, right?
