Performing Arts

One of the benefits of a traditional summer camp is the chance to try your hand at so many things you’ve never done. Like, for instance, acting.

At the end of each four-week session, campers in the performing-arts program present a full-length musical or Broadway revue for the entire camp. In the past, these shows have included Oklahoma!, Cats, The Rocky Horror Picture Show and many more. Kids produce these shows, too, making sets, choosing costumes and promoting the show.

A lot of what goes on in Walden’s very popular dance program and instrumental music classes ends up on the stage at Walden Under the Stars, our highly anticipated camp talent show presented at the end of each session.
