Walden’s talented instructors, supervisors and counselors are hired not only for their abilities but for their commitment to the physical and mental well-being of every camper. They come to Long Lake each year literally from around the globe, bringing a fun, healthy diversity to the camp setting.

All staff members, with the exception
of those who have completed
Walden’s Junior Counselor program,
have had at least one year of college
or the equivalent. Our exceptional
senior staff — including the directors
of our waterfront, athletics, media
and kitchen areas, and Assistant
Camp Director Harvey Rubenstein –
have spent more than a decade
at Walden and ensure a consistent
excellence from summer to summer.
